Dewey Wray Anderson

NORTH OGDEN – Dewey Wray Anderson passed away on September 5, 2011 surrounded by his loving family. He was born January 16, 1937 in Ogden, Utah to Ross Arbon Anderson and Helen Regene Henry Anderson. He was born the fifth of seven sons.
Dewey married Rena Fae Atmore on June 31, 1984 in Ogden, Utah. They were married for 27 years. He was a loving, caring husband, step-father, grandfather and great grandfather.
Dewey graduated from Bear River High School. He then served in the Army and was stationed in Europe from 1961 to 1963. He was raised on the family ranch in Stone, Idaho and was a member of the LDS Church. Dewey was a hard worker. He set the example that if a job was worth doing, it was worth doing right. He was part owner of Western General Construction and ended his career as a consultant for Summit Valley Equipment in Venezuela, retiring in 2001.
Dewey had many friends and enjoyed spending time with them. He enjoyed ranching, cattle auctions, hunting and the great outdoors. He was known as Grandpa Dewey on this side of the border and Uncle Wray in Idaho. Dewey is survived by his wife Rena, two step-sons, Bob (Kera) Atmore of North Ogden and John Atmore of New Mexico; eight grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren.
Wray is survived by three brothers, Ross, Jr. (Bonna) Anderson of Stone, ID; Lynn (Connie) Anderson of Snowville, UT and Andrew Anderson of Malad, ID; many nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents and his brothers, Carl, Doug and Joe Anderson.
