Deloris Jean Bell

Samaria, Idaho… DeeDee 75, current resident of Samaria passed away on Tuesday June 20th, 2017. She was born in Bell Gardens, California on March 11th, 1942 one of 5 children of Henry and Myrtle Willis. In 1958 she married Don, the love of her her life. In 1959 she gave birth to the first of her 2 children Dennise Marie, whom precended her in death on May 20th, 1963. On August 2, 1960 she gave birth to her daughter Doreen Sue.

She worked for years as a hairdresser up until 2000 when both DeeDee and Don retired and relocated to Henderson, Nevada. They spent many years traveling, taking cruises and motorcycling indulging her husbands interest of motorcycling and offroading. On these travels they would often visit friends in Samaria and in 2006 they bought property and also planted roots splitting time between Henderson and Samaria with Samaria being her favorite place to be.

She is survived by ther loving husband Don, her daughter Doreen, 5 grandchildren Amanda Beth (Scott), Adriana Dawn (Chris), Ashley Deniece, Alyssa Doreen and Annie Laurie. She is also survived by 7 great grandchildren Olivia Jean, Aubree Mia, Matthew Donald, Isabel Jean, Alexis Melody, Finn Edward and Zoey Marie.

She loved to bake and cook and feed her family, friends and aquantences. During her lifetime she loved having her pets and most recently her furry companion was her dog Scooter. No one that ever stopped by went away hungry or stayed on their diet as she had to serve them her most recent favorite recipe or dish. She loved jewelry making, sewing, painted for years using trichem paint on fabric. She would do cake decorating, along with many other crafts. Deloris had many friends whom she loved and adored. Her infectious laugh and sense of humor brought laughter and joy to all whom she crossed paths with. While she has gone before us she has left a lifetime of memories for us to treasure until we meet again.

Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, June 27 at 12 noon in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N Friends may visit with the family at the funeral home on Monday from 7-8:00 p.m. and Tuesday from 10:30-11:45 a.m. Burial will follow in the Samaria Cemetery.
