Delore S. ”Dee” Fallis

FALLIS, DELORE S., February 2, 1915 – October 4, 1971

Funeral services were conducted at Malad Fourth LDS Ward Chapel Tuesday for Delore S. ”Dee” Fallis, age 56, who died Friday of natural causes at Filer while attending the Filer Bull auction. Mr. Fallis collapsed while he was preparing to take an animal into the sale ring and was pronounced dead at a nearby hospital.

Mr. Fallis was born February 2, 1915 at Malad, a son of William H. and Sarah Stuart Fallis. He married Aletha Harris May 29, 1939 at Malad. He was a graduate of Malad High School and a member of the LDS Church. He was a farmer and cattleman.

Survivors include his widow, Malad; a son, William Hl. Fallis, Las Vegas, NV; two grandchildren; four brothers and three sisters, Bill, Lava Hot Springs; Asa, Fresno, CA; George, South Plainfield, NJ; Dan, Malad; Mrs. Norman L. (Myme) Petersen, Ogden; Mrs. Mae Geick, Rock Rapid, IA; Mrs. Roy (Leone) Green, Burley.

Bishop Earl Gillies officiated. Famiily prayer was offered by Boyd Thurgood; the invocation by Soren Christensen and the benediction by jack Forbush. Speakers were Clarence kent, Nolan L. Harris and Elden G. Archibald, who read the obituary. A vocal duet was presented by Foster Ipsen and Leora Brown, and a vocal trio by Helen E. Jones, Miriel Dredge and Wanda Edwards, accompanied by Iris Blaisdell. Prelude and postlude music was played by Cynthia Archibald.

At Malad City Cemetery, Stanley Jensen offered the dedicatory prayer. Flowers were arranged by members of the Fourth Ward Relief Society.

Casket bearers were Danny Christensen, Lynn Christensen, Lowell Davis, Norm Petersen, Claude Williams and Dale Thomas. Honorary bearers were Sam Lusk, Dee Williams and Sam Smith.

Benson Funeral Home was in charge of the arrangements.
