DAVID G. HUNTSMAN IS REPORTED MISSING

OGDEN- David Gratten Huntsman, 18, son of James F. Huntsman, 2257 Ogden avenue, has been reported “missing in action” by the U.S. Navy.

Huntsman, seamon second class, was aboard the tanker Neoscho. Last word from him was received by his father on March 12.

He was born January 8, 1924, in Ogden, and was reared in Samaria, Idaho. He attended the Bear River Idaho. He attended the Bear River and Ogden High schools.

He was stationed at the Lucin, Utah, CCC camp prior to enlisting in the navy on January 7, 1941.

Two of his brothers are in the armed services – Richard, serving merchant marine. A third brother, James F. Jr., resides in Malad. Two sisters reside in Ogden, Mrs. Alice Brown of 2256 Ogden avenue and Mrs. Vella Price at 3570 Ogden avenue. A third sister, Mrs. Mary Hall, resides in Salt Lake City.
