Daniel J. Evans, 77, former Malad resident, passed away Thursday October 9, 1997 in Las Vegas.
He was born May 23, 1920 in Malad, a son of Daniel K. and Sarah Jane Jones Evans.
He was married to Mary “Sue” Sorenson for 56 years. She passed away January 2, 1997.
He is survived by two daughters, Linda Sue (Larry) Coles, and Heidi (Rocky) Magee, both of Las Vegas, Nev.; three sisters, Ardelle Williams of Malad, Mary Williams of Malad, and Jyrle (Orlin) Hess of Canyon Lake, California; 10 grandchildren and one great-grandchild. He was preceded in death by his parents, wife, one son, Danny, one brother and three sisters.
Funeral services were held Tuesday, October 14, 1997, at Benson-Horsley Funeral Home. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
