Curtis Todd Hendricks

1968 ~ 2014
Curtis Todd Hendricks, born April 15, 1968 in Malad, ID to Samuel and Sharon Hendricks, lost his courageous year-long battle with cancer Tuesday, November 18, 2014 in Murray, UT. Curtis graduated in 1986 from Malad High School and continued his education at the University of Utah finally completing his MBA from the University of Phoenix. Curtis served an honorable LDS mission in Manchester, England. He married his sweetheart, Marlayna Peck, in the Salt Lake LDS temple April 6, 1990. Always eager to serve, he spent countless years building up the Scouting program as well as serving in several bishoprics and on the high council. True to his love of logic, Curtis had a successful career as an accountant, most recently working for JCPenny. Curtis loved to experiment in the kitchen, with the-best-darn-sweet rolls being the most notable recipe he loved to share with friends and family during the holidays. Always wise beyond his years, he was the go-to guy for his nieces and nephews, as well as others, for sage advice in his sermon voice. Curtis is preceded in death by a brother, David Allen. He is survived by his wife, Marlayna, his children Sam (Cassie) and Makayla, as well as his parents, Sam and Sharon, and siblings: Troy (Renae), Scott (Lori), Sharolyn (Jeff) Arnold, Amy (Terry) Williams and Brenda (Bryan) Bacon.
