Our Beloved Husband, Brother, Father, Uncle, Grandfather and Great-Grandfather, Cieve Smith Bolingbroke, 84, passed away on November 17, 2014 peacefully at his home in Murray, UT. He was born on June 22, 1930 in Malad, ID to Chester Lusk Bolingbroke and Marion Vaioye Smith. Cleve married the love of his life, Yvonne Kearl Bolingbroke on September 17, 1956 in the Logan Temple. He is a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and has served faithfully in many capacities over the years. He served one mission as a young Elder and was privileged to serve three additional missions with his favorite eternal companion. He loved serving in the temple, with the youth and was committed to missionary work. His gift of music touched many lives. He was educated at Snow College and received his Masters in Engineering at Utah State University and his Professional Engineering license at the University of Utah. He is a retired Lt. Colonel with the United States Air Force Reserves. He loves his wife with all his heart and adores his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
He is survived by his “sweet and angelic” wife, Yvonne; beloved children, Jill (Daniel) Schiess, Gary (Kolleen) Bolingbroke, Michael (Vickie) Bolingbroke, Deborah (Tracy) Tolbert and Kevin (Christine) Bolingbroke; 23 adored grandchildren; and 25 sweet great¬grandchildren, with 2 more he will send down soon. Also survived by brothers-in-law; sisters-in-law; nieces; and nephews.
He is preceded in death by his parents, Chester and Marion Bolingbroke; his sisters, Ellery (Ferd) Nelson, Vaioye (Mel) Moore, Shirley (Billy) Baity; brother, Chester Bolingbroke; grandson, Ben Schiess; and infant great-granddaughter, Aubrey Aullman.
Services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, November 21, 2014 at the Little Cottonwood 18th Ward, 6410 South 725 East, Murray, UT. A viewing will be Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at Jenkins-Soffe Funeral Chapel, 4760 South State Street, Murray, UT and Friday prior to the funeral services at the church from 9:30-10:30 a.m. Interment: Murray City Cemetery.
