MALAD- , 87, passed away Wednesday, July 24, 1996, in the Oneida County Long Term Care Facility.
She was born October 9, 1908, in Sutherland, Ash County, North Carolina, a daughter of David A. and Ella Minnie Thomas South. While an infant her family moved to Malad, where she has since resided.
She married Albert Brockway Bush June 6, 1927, in Malad. They farmed and reached in the Arbon Valley, where they lived in the summers. Mr. Bush died May 28, 1988.
Clara loved her family, the ranch life, and was especially talented doing embroidery work. She was a member of the Presbyterian Church.
She is survived by two sons; Albert Edward and wife Dorthy Bush, of Smithfield, Utah; Jerry David and wife Dixie Bush, of Malad; one daughter: Clara Elaine and husband Charles H. Knight, of Elko, Nevada; nine grandchildren, many great grandchildren and three great great grandchildren; and one sister: Pearl S. Briggs and husband Edwin Briggs, of Pocatello. She was preceded in death by her parents, husband and one brother, John W. South.
Funeral services were held Saturday, July 27, 1996, in the 1st/St. John Ward LDS Chapel with Bishop Dale Tubbs conducting. Burial was in the Malad Cemetery.
