Cherril Waldron Anderson, (1929)

Cherril Waldron Anderson
February 26, 1929 – December 31, 2025

Cherril Waldron Anderson, age 96, returned to her Heavenly Father and to the loving family who preceded her in death on December 31, 2025.

Cherril was born on February 26, 1929, in Gwenford, Idaho, to Lewis Roderick Waldron and Emma Price Waldron. She married her high school sweetheart, Dan Anderson, on September 2, 1950. After 44 years of daily, heartfelt prayers, she was sealed for time and all eternity to the love of her life in the Logan Temple on September 2, 1994. Mom and Dad shared a devotion and love for one another that will last throughout eternity.

Mom traveled the world with Dad as he served in the United States Air Force. Wherever she lived, she loved and served those around her—regardless of background or lifestyle. She was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and prayed continually for discernment to minister to the individual needs of those she encountered.

Cherril had many creative talents and found great joy in painting, gardening, and crocheting blankets for family and friends—each stitch a quiet and heartfelt act of love. She was known for her spunky and feisty spirit, balanced by a deeply loving heart. Throughout her life, and especially near its end, her greatest concern was always the happiness and well-being of her family.

She was preceded in death by her beloved husband Dan Anderson; her daughters Cherie Lynn Anderson; Patricia Showell; son-in-law Kipp Orton; great-granddaughter Kate Michelle Jensen; her parents; two sisters; and one brother.

Cherril is survived by her loving family: Karen (Steve) Hockett, Dan (Lori) Anderson, Sandy (Darrell) Jensen, Lew (Desi) Anderson, Charles (Lara) Anderson, Jocie (Steve) Reel, and Dave Showell. She is lovingly remembered by 27 grandchildren, 57 great-grandchildren, and 3 great-great-grandchildren.

A viewing will be held on January 10, 2026, from 10:30–11:30 a.m. at 200 W 400 N, Malad, Idaho 83252.
Funeral services will follow at 12:00 p.m. at the same location.

Interment will take place at the Samaria, Idaho Cemetery, 5140 W 5000 S, Samaria, Idaho.

Our family would like to express heartfelt gratitude to all those who provided such tender and compassionate care to our Mom throughout her life.

Cherril’s life was a beautiful testament to faith, resilience, and love. She will be deeply missed and forever remembered by all who were blessed to know her.
