Charles Albert Strom passed away on January 20, 2025.

Chuck was born June 14, 1945, in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho the son of Albert and Fern Strom. He was raised and educated in Lava and graduated from Marsh Valley High School with the class of 1964.

He married Sharon Wilson in Lava Hot Springs, Idaho. They lived in Pocatello, Salt Lake City, back to Pocatello and in 1975 moved to American Falls, and in 1982 they moved to Neeley. Chuck was known for Chuck’s Happy Hogs, his chain saw skills cutting wood and together he and Sharon collected rocks, educating many a child on the rockhounding world. Chuck was involved for 30 + years in scouting and was awarded the Silver Beaver in 2000. Chuck volunteered helping the church camp at Luther Heights Bible Camp, Hope House of Marsing Idaho and a dedicated Meals on Wheels delivery driver.

Chuck was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church serving on the church council and was a great repairman. He was active in Power County Search and Rescue where he furnished apple wood for the annual Salmon Barbeque. He will be missed by all who knew him.

He is survived by his wife of 59 ½ years, Sharon of Neeley Idaho, his son Chuck Strom Jr. of Portland Oregon and grandson Eddie Strom also of Portland.

He was preceded in death by his parents and his only sister, Beverly.

Visitation will be Friday January 24, 2025, from 6-7pm at St John’s Lutheran Church, 656 Tyhee St. American Falls, Idaho.

Visitation from 10:30 to 11:30 am on January 25, 2025, with the Funeral Service to follow at 12:00pm at St. John’s Lutheran Church 656 Tyhee St. American Falls Idaho.
