MALAD – Charla Barnett Wight (Jensen) Durbin, 51, loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister, died Saturday, Feb. 19, 1994, in Salt Lake City, Utah of heart failure.

She was born May 17, 1942, in Malad, a daughter of Charles Thomas and Jessie Isabelle Barnett Wight. She was raised and educated in Malad, and later attended the Stephen Henegar Business School. She had lived and worked in California, Washington, Utah and Idaho.

She married John Durbin May 17, 1991, in McCall, Idaho, and at the time of her death, they had been living in Ogden, Utah. She was a member of the LDS Church, and had been active in Relief Society.

She is survived by her husband, John Durbin, Ogden, Utah; a son and his wife, Robert C. and Donna Jensen, of Ogden, Utah; a son and his wife, Robert C. and Donna Jensen, of Ogden; two daughters, Mrs. Tony (Terry Ann) Haven of Malad, and Cindy Lynn Nieffenegger, of Malad; 14 grandchildren; and one sister, Carryle W. Dudley, of Malad. She was preceded in death by her parents and one sister.

Funeral services will be held Wednesday, Feb. 23, at noon in the Malad LDS First Ward Chapel, 308 W. 400 N., Malad, Bishop Jared Crowther officiating.

Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, on Tuesday evening, Feb. 22, from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m., and on Wednesday at the funeral home from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery.
