Catherine Evans Limb, 18 February 1918

Catherine “Katie” Evans Limb, 78, died February 24, 1996 at the Ogden Regional Medical Center.

She was born February 18, 1918 in Malad City, ID, a daughter of John “Big Jack” Adams and Catherine Hill Evans.

She married Donald E. Limb, December 1, 1937 in Malad City, ID. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan LDS Temple.

Mrs. Limb was reared and educated in Malad and graduated from Malad High School. She attended Utah State University. She moved to Garland after her marriage and has lived there ever since.

She and her husband owned and operated a farm and a service station in Garland. She was a Charter member and past president of the Garland Civic and Home Arts Club. She was known for her music, sewing and secretarial skills.

She was a member of the Garland 2nd LDS Ward. She served in various capacities in the Church and was the ward organist for 50 years.

Survivors include two sons and two daughters and their spouses: Carol Dawn Limb, Garland; Max E. Limb, Kirkland, WA; Donald Ray and Colleen Limb, Gunnison, Utah; Catherine Ann and Ronald Wiberg, Layton, UT; 19 grandchildren and seven great grandchildren; two brothers and two sisters: Earl and Alva Evans, Richland, WA; Ray and Orvella Evans, Garland; Margaret and Gail Boam, Downy, ID; Rayma and Peter Zagarella, Edinboro, PA. She was preceded in death by her husband, one son and daughter-in-law, John “Jack” Fredrick and Andrea Limb; and a brother, Lyle Evans.

Funeral services were conducted February 27, 1996 in the Garland Tabernacle. Interment was in the Garland City Cemetery.
