Catherine Deer Clarkson Evans (Wilson) (Birth 1 Feb 1846/Death 16 Aug 1909)

Catherine Deer was born in Cadoxton, Glamorganshire, Wales on February 1, 1846. He parents were David Deer and Margaret Jones.

She immigrated to the United States when she was 19. She married (1) Elias Clarkson June 16, 1866 in Alton, Madison, Illinois. He died in 1877. They had four children.

She then married (2) Jonah Evans, a widower with six sons, in Brigham City, Utah, June 9, 1877. They had six children. When he engaged in polygamy, they were separated according to her history. Jonah died in 1897.

She married Robert Wilson in Brigham City, Utah November 10, 1900.

Survivors: Catherine’s three daughters, Fanny, Irene and Ethel. Also survived by stepdaughters, Mary Margarite Clarkson and Agnes Ann Clarkson Morse.

Catherine died August 16, 1909 at Logan, Cache, Utah and is buried in the Samaria, Oneida, Idaho cemetery.

She was preceded in death by her husbands, and children Francis Deer Evans, birth 16 Mar 1878 at Brigham City, death 20 Aug 1880; Esther Deer Evans, Birth 25 Mar 1880, Brigham City, death 3 Aug 1880 and Milton Deer Evans, born 4 Feb 1888 in Samaria, Oneida, Idaho and died 26 April 1888.
