Carl Reese Evans

Carl Reese Evans, 82, passed away at his South Ogden, Utah home on Tuesday, May 4, 1993.

He was born Oct 4, 1910 in Malad, Idaho, a son of John L. and Caroline Jones
Evans.

He married Florence Thomas on Aug. 22, 1935.

He was a teacher for many years in Ashton and Preston, Idaho and Evanston, Wyo., he was the Principal of Tooele High School for a number of years and also served as the Supervisor of Secondary Education and Director of Vocational Education for the Tooele County Schools.

After retirement he spent much of his time on his farm in Downey, Idaho. Throughout his life he enjoyed music, reading, and being with his family.

Surviving are his children, Mr. and Mrs. E. Carter Foss(Kaye), Salt Lake City, Utah., Mr. and Mrs. Ned J. Stephens (Sheila), South Ogden, Utah.; Mr. and Mrs. Jan Brian Evans, Boise, Idaho; also surviving are his grandchildren, Heidi and Bill, Holli and Troy, Sean, Catherine Anne, Carol Alison, Texie, Josephine, B.J., Candice and Zack; two great-grandchildren, Haileigh and Evan.

He was preceded in death by his wife and his sister, Rhoda Evans Reeve.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 11 a.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary, 3408 Washington Blvd., Ogden, Utah.

Friends may call at the mortuary Friday from 6 to 8 p.m. and Saturday one hour prior to services.

Interment, Downey City Cemetery, Downey, Idaho where graveside services will be held at 3 p.m.
