Evans, Bryon Jerry – Sept. 21, 1945

Bryon Jerry Evans, 49, of Pocatello, passed away early Thursday morning, Aug. 24, 1995, at a local medical center, of an apparent heart attack.

He was born September 21, 1945 in Pocatello, to Bryon Jenkins Evans and Christine “Tulla” Gregerson Evans.

Jerry was born and raised in Pocatello and graduated from Pocatello High School. He went ISU and graduated from Applied Technology as a machinist.

He joined the Army Reserve serving with the Grave Registration at Arlington National Cemetery in Arlington, Virginia.

He was a member of Alcoholics Anonymous. He was also a member of the LDS Church.

He enjoyed motorcycle riding and was a pilot. He owned his own planes and was the youngest pilot in the United States, getting his first license at the age of 16. He was also an accomplished player teaching at Ford’s Music in Pocatello.

He is survived by his mother, Christine “Tulla” Evans of Pocatello; his sister Mrs. Bill (Ellen) Adamson, Sonoma, California; and two nieces, Mrs. Krissy Wilsonn, San Jose, California;Alice Facer, Laytonville, California.

He was proceeded in death by his father Bryon Jenkins Evans.

Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Monday, Aug. 28, 1995 at Colonial Funeral Home, 2005 so. 4th Ave, Pocatello, with Bishop Larry Solomon officiating. The family will receive friends Sunday, Aug. 27, 1995from 6-8 p.m. And for one hour prior to services on Monday.

Interment will be in the Mountain View Cemetery, Pocatello, with full military graveside services preformed by the combined Veterans groups of Pocatello, DAV #3, VFW #735, American Legion #4, and Fleet Reserve As-
