PORTAGE, UT – Our sweet yet feisty mom, Bonnie John Cheney, 87, passed away peacefully on September 20, 2012.

She was born on August 21, 1925 in Malad, ID to Edward and Elizabeth Owens. She married Arthur Fal John in 1946; he passed away in 1966. She married Mack Cheney in 1978, he passed away in 2002.

Bonnie’s greatest joy in life was her children, grandchildren and great grandchildren. She had a special bond with each and every one of them. She was a lifelong member of the LDS Church.

She is survived by her children, Eddy (Shirley) John, Bartlesville, OK; Fran (Wayne) Price, Pocatello, ID; Marilyn Cason, The Woodlands, TX; Janet (Jerry) King, Riverton, UT; Wendy (Bill) Wack, Magna, UT; Leon (Sharon) Cheney, Riverton, UT; Anne (Mike) Broderick, Nampa, ID; Steve (Pat) Cheney, Nampa, ID; and Gary (Sherrie) Cheney, Simi Valley, CA; 32 grandchildren; 65 great grandchildren; and one great-great grandchild.

Graveside services will be held September 27, 2012 at the Portage Cemetery, Portage, UT. Friends and family may call Wednesday, 6-8 p.m. at Peel Funeral Home, Magna, UT.
