Billie Ann Christensen 1937-2009
After 72 wonderful years on earth, Bill Ann Christensen returned home to her Father in Heaven and was greeted by many loving family members, friends and her beloved son, Scotty on December 27, 2009. Born February 20, 1937 in Malad, Idaho to William D. and Wanda Hughes Thorpe, Billie was the third of four children. She was raised in Pleasantview, Idaho and had a lifetime fondness of the Malad Valley and was always telling stories of her childhood.
After graduating from Malad High School, she moved to Salt Lake where she met her eternal companion, Harold Ray Christensen Jr. They were married in the Logan Temple for time and all eternity on November 27, 1957. Billie was a devoted member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She enjoyed being a temple worker along- side her husband. Billie enjoyed her kids, grandkids, Sunday dinners, canning, quilting, and taking rides to Malad and Moroni. She always put others before herself. She loved her family and had a very strong testimony of the Savior. After 26 years she retired from Abbott Laboratories in 2001 where he made many lifelong friends. She is survived by her eternal husband of 52 years, her children, Julie (Mike) Bennett, Bluffdale; Linda (Russ) McCloud, Grantsville; Steve (Shelley) Christensen, Riverton; Holli (Todd) Timothy, South Jordan; Cindy (Craig) Williams, Grantsville; 16 grandchildren and nine great-grandchildren.
