On August 6th, 1952, she married Lloyd Wayne Shortridge and they were married for 65 years. They made their home in Reedsport, Oregon where they raised their children before moving to Coquille, Oregon. Beverly loved staying at home and taking care of the house but mostly was an outdoor person. She was very talented in everything she touched, including her beautiful yard, garden, painting, ceramics, crocheting, and various other hobbies. Her favorite thing to do was to fish. Beverly and her husband always had a boat to go out fishing anywhere and anytime they could, which included the ocean and any lake or river. They always lived near the ocean or a lake.
