BESSIE CROOKSTON THOMAS

Bessie Crookston Thomas, Malad, died March 13, 1984 at her home of apparent heaert failure.

She was born May 17, 1904 in Hyrum, UT to David and Mima Amelia Hartvigsen Crookston. She was reared and educated in Hyrum, where she lived until 1935.

She married William E. Thomas June 5, 1935 in Brigham City, Utah.

Other than a short time in Pocatello, she had resided in Malad. She was a member of the LS Church, serving as a visiting teacher, a Primary teacher and as a member of the ward choir.

Survivors include her husband, Malad; a daughter, Mrs. Don T. (Eileen) Aste, San Carlos, CA; three grandchildren; two great grandchildren; a brother, Jess Crookston, Hyrum, UT and a sister, Mrs. Helen Jensen, Logan, UT. She was preceded in death by three sisters and a brother.

Funeral services were held at Malad LDS First Ward Chapel, March 17, with Bishop Sheldon Jensen officiating. Burial was in the Malad City Cemetery.
