Barbara Viola Dickson Lippold passed away in the early morning hours of December 10, 2025 with family by her side.

She was a dear and beloved daughter, wife, mother, grandmother, sister, aunt, friend, and woman of great faith.

Barbara was born June 28, 1930 in Morgan, Utah to Erma Mikesell and Lorin Dickson.

When she met Harold Lippold in July of 1948 in Clearfield, Utah, it was love at first sight for them both. They were married 13 days later on August 7th. Together they raised 8 children. All of them born in the 1950’s. On April 29, 1965, they were sealed together as a family in the Logan LDS Temple.

Barbara and Harold worked hard
side by side to build a life they could enjoy,
continuing their adventure for almost 53 years until his passing on May 6, 2001.

Barbara is survived by 6 of her children; Betty (Alan) Archibald, Carol (Neil) Citte, Mark, Toni (Robert) Godwin, Rex, Matt (LaJoy); daughter-in-law, Deanne; 1 brother, Arvel Lloyd Dickson; 35 grandchildren, many step-grandchildren, 80 great-grandchildren, and 14 great-great-grandchildren with several more due in 2026. And the story continues.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; son, Burt; daughter, Terri; 5 grandchildren, Cody, Allison, Adam, Derek, and Lisa; 1 great-grandchild, Benjamin; 2 brothers, Albert and Ivan; and 1 sister, Faye Morley.

The family would like to express their love and appreciation to the “Barb” Team at the Oneida County Hospital in Malad. Thank you, thank you.

Funeral Services will be held Friday December 19th at the Malad 5th LDS Ward Building at 12 pm with a viewing beginning at 10:30 am.

Following the funeral Barbara will be laid to rest next to her eternal companion in the Malad City Cemetery.
