ARTHUR W. KRESS

Holbrook – Arthur (Art) Kress, 93, of Rockland and American Falls, Idaho, passed away Sunday, March 20, 2005, at the Harms Memorial Nursing Home after a short illness and stay.

He was born July 3, 1911, at Myrtle, Idaho (near Lewiston), to Henry and Ella Gross Kress.

He married Helen Jasman in May 1938. Two sons were born to them, Larry Kay and Arthur Lee. As a family, the broadened the farming operation into the Lake Channel area. Art stayed active in the dry farming operation his entire life.

He was a member of the Saint John’s Lutheran church.

Art is survived by his wife of almost 67 years; sons, Larry and Lee (Judy) of American Falls; five grandchildren: Douglas, Veronica, Jason, Brenda and Thomas; two great-grandsons, Jared and Jordan.

He was preceded in death by his parents, three brothers, Harry, Raymond and Lloyd.

A private service and burial has taken place at Falls View Cemetry.
