Arthur Lynn Ward, age 68, passed peacefully into our Heavenly Father’s outstretched arms, October 11, 1994.

He was born March 2, 1926 to Arthur M. and Cecil Sarah (Moss) Ward in Malad, Idaho.

Survived by his wife Margaret; son, A. Lynn Ward, Jr. and wife Kathleen, Salt lake City; daughters, Debra Maddocks and husband, Preston, Bakersfield, California; Tamara Burnside and husband, Ron, Riverton, Utah; grandchildren; Natalie and Nicole Ward; Brook, Marina and Baylor Burnside; sisters, Wanda Wharton, Theda Pilgrim, Thelma Price and husband Glen, all of Malad, Idaho; Faye Hansen and husband K.V. Brigham City, Utah, Elaine Gardner and husband, Ralph and Dorothy Knorr, both of Salt Lake City, Utah. He was preceded in death by his parents and his precious daughter, Carrie Louise Ward, who he has been anxiously waiting to see again.

Lynn served his country in WWII as a soldier in Germany. When he returned home he served a Southern State Mission, following which he attended and graduated in business from Utah State University. During this time he was fortunate to find his mate, Margaret, whom he married on June 15, 1950, in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. Afterwards, Lynn was in the insurance business for 20 years as an assistant manager to Sterling W. Sill at New York Life. Following this, he founded Brookwood Cabinets, Inc. Lynn took great pride in his company and was highly successful.

Lynn was an active member of the LDS Church and had been a High Councilman and a temple worker at the Jordan River Temple.

Funeral services will be held Friday, October 14, 1994, 2 p.m. at the Holladay 25th Ward Chapel, 4650 South Naniloa Drive (2880 East). Friends may call Thursday evening from 6-8 p.m. at the Wasatch Lawn Mortuary, 3401 South Highland Drive and at the ward chapel on Friday from 12:45-1:45 p.m. prior to services. Interment Wasatch Lawn Memorial Park.
