Son of Rene Josephat Camire and Marie Camire.
Arthur Joseph Camire, a proud Vietnam veteran and dedicated big rig truck driver, passed away peacefully in Malad, Idaho, with his wife Vi at his side.
Born in New Jersey, Art moved to California and grew up in Lakewood . Art graduated Lakewood High School and answering the call to serve his country, he first enlisted in the United States Marine Corps and later continued his service in the United States Army, where he served with honor during the Vietnam War.
After his military service, Art found his second calling behind the wheel of a big rig, spending decades as a long-haul truck driver. Art preferred the quiet life to city life and he was a cowboy and nomad at heart. Known for his strong work ethic and adventurous spirit, he traveled countless miles across this country. Art was the father of two children, Arthur Joseph, and Tina Marie.
He was a devoted husband to his beloved wife Vi, and after many hardworking years, Art and Vi retired to Malad, Idaho, where they enjoyed a quieter life together.
Art will be remembered for his strength, service, and steadfast love for his family. His legacy lives on through his children, grandchildren, and all who had the privilege of knowing him.
He is survived by his wife Vi, children, Arthur and Tina and several grandchildren, Dreleon, River, Reign, Charlie, and Abbott, his sister Renee Camire Ross, brother Craig Camire, sister-in-law Linda Camire and many nephews and nieces and great nephews and nieces and great, great nieces and nephews.
He was preceded in death by his parents: Rene Josephat Camire and Marie Camire and brothers Bruce Camire, and Douglas Camire.
There will be a Celebration of Life for Art at a later date.
