Prominent Farmer Of The Arbon District Dies at Malad After an Illness of a Week.

Arthur E. Peterson, another victim of Spanish influenza, which later developed into pneumonia, died Saturday at the home of Mr. and Mrs. George Hardman, of Malad.

Mr. Peterson was born at Logan, Utah, June 6th, 1884; was the son of Mr. and Mrs. Edward Peterson of that city. He received his education in the Logan schools, and for some time was associated with the Linquist[sic] undertaking establishment of that place. Later he moved to Montana, where he engaged in that line of business for himself. About five years ago he decided to take up agriculture. He filed on a farm in Bannock, at which place he was residing previous to his death.

Mr. Peterson came to Malad with a load of grain on Friday, and while here was taken seriously ill with the influenza. He was sick only a short time before he succumbed.

His body was taken to Logan for burial. It was accompanied by his sister, Miss Louise Peterson. He leaves a wife and one daughter to mourn his departure.
