SERVICES HELD TUESDAY FOR ARCHIE HURD, 62
Funeral services for Archie Hurd, 62, who died May 9th in California, were held at Snowville, Utah LDS Ward.
He died of natural causes while returning home from work as a guard at San Quentin Prison, Marin County, California.
He had farmed in the Stone area and operated a store there until it was destroyed by fire.
Born Nov. 15, 1904 at Snowville to William and Mary Webb Hurd, he married Pauline Oleson Berglund on May 4, 1946 in Utah. He had also worked for the Union Pacific Railroad and was operator of an apartment house in California.
Surviving are a brother, Edmund, Snowville; sister, Mrs. Zinna Jones, Anaheim, Calif.; half-brothers, William Hurd, Tremonton; Wilford Hurd, Ogden; half sisters, Mrs. Elza Hamilton, Mrs. Ruth Baird, both of Layton.
Burial was at Snowville.
