OGDEN, UTAH – Anona Hess Dalton, 71, of 963 Sullivan Road, died Thursday, March 17, 1988, at the McKay-Dee Hospital of cancer.

She was born November 1, 1916 in St. John, Idaho, a daughter of Marion and Gertrude Blaisdell Hess.

She married Albert I. Dalton, March 16, 1935 in San Diego, California. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Ogden Temple, September 26, 1975.

She was reared and educated in Malad City and later moved to Ogden with her husband.

She was an active member of the LDS Church. She was a visiting teacher in the 53rd Ward.

Surviving are her husband of Ogden, and one son, Bob L. Dalton, also of Ogden.

Also surviving are three brothers and two sisters, Russell W. Hess, Uncon, Idaho; Norval Hess, Fallen, Nevada, Ives E. Jones, Caldwell, Idaho; Carma Jean Gunter, Clearfield, Utah; and Ilean Jones, Blackfoot, Idaho.

She was preceded in death by one brother.

Services were held Monday, March 21, at Leavitt’s Chapel of Flowers Mortuary in Ogden with Bishop Mark Bischoff of the Ogden 53rd Ward officiating.

Interment was in the Malad City Cemetery.
