Annie Laura Bowen Woozley

BOUNTIFUL, Utah – Annie Laura Bowen Woozley, 68, died Sunday, December 25, in Salt Lake City of cancer.
She was born February 22, 1920 in Malad, to Clyde and Laura Bowen. She attended school and graduated from Malad High School in 1938.
She married Weldon Woozley May 27, 1938 in Malad. Their marriage was later solemnized in the Salt Lake LDS Temple. They celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary in May.
During her married life she lived in Salt Lake City; Malad and Downey, Idaho, Sunset and Ogden, Utah; Dayton, Ohio; and Bountiful.
She was active in the LDS Church.
She enjoyed traveling, golf and being a spectator at her grandchildren’s sports events. She was presented with the “Outstanding Spectator Award.”
She is survived by her husband of Bountiful; one son, Monte Woozley, Telluride, Colo.; three daughters, Mrs. Robert (Peggy) Beyer and Mrs. Larry (Dixie) Jacobs, both of Bountiful; Suzy Woozley, Salt Lake City; her parents of Malad; four brothers, LaVar Bowen, Malad; Robert Bowen, Bountiful; Ren-Ray Bowen, Seaside, Oregon; George Bowen. Eden, Utah; two sisters, Mrs. Jack (Helen) Harris, Boise; Mrs. D.G. (Kathalee) Nelson, Bountiful; 18 grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by a son, Tim Woozley.
Funeral services were held Wednesday, December 28, at the 40th Ward, Bountiful, Utah. Friends may call at the Benson-Horsley Mortuary in Malad on Thursday from 11 to 12:30 p.m. Burial will be in the Malad City Cemetery on Thursday at 1 p.m.
