Services Held For Mrs. Annie H. Price

Funeral services were held Monday at the Malad Fourth Ward LDS Chapel for Mrs. Annie Hamblin Price, 74, who died Thursday night [October 3, 1963] at the Oneida Hospital after a long illness.

With Bishop Arthur Servoss officiating, family prayer at the home was offered by John Roderick; invocation, Colen H. Sweeten, Jr.; benediction, Bishop Carl A. Evans. Musical numbers were organ prelude and postlude, Myra Jean John; violin selection, Fern Willie; vocal solos, Thomas Jones and Helen E. Jones. Speakers were Earl Deschamps, Dr. Thomas W. Richards and Bishop Servoss who gave the obituary.

Concluding rites were at the Pleasantview Cemetery where Jonah Evans offered the dedicatory prayer.

Flowers were carried by granddaughters and members of the Fourth Ward Relief Society with casket bearers being Walter M. Davis, Walt Jones, Dan Jones, Ernest Williams, Lynn Elcock, Khalil Scott.

Services were under the direction of the Benson Funeral Home.

Mrs. Price was born July 20, 1889 at Samaria, Idaho, a daughter of Lewis L. and Catherine Williams Hamblin. She received her education in the Samaria and Malad schools.

She was married to William M. Price February 8, 1908, at Samaria. The marriage was solemnized in the Logan Temple in 1936. Mrs. Price was an active member of the LDS church and was a former Relief Society counselor in the Samaria Ward. After her marriage she lived in Samaria and Pleasantview and moved to Malad City in 1945.

Survivors include her husband, Malad; 3 sons and 6 daughters: William H. Price, Ogden; Earl H. Price, Puyallup, Wash.; Mrs. John (Vera) Roderick, Pleasantview; Mrs. Wilbur (Ida) Sanderson, Nampa; Mrs. Nello Deschamps, Reseda, Calif.; Mrs. James H. (Emma) Richards, Pocatello; Mrs. George E. (Betty) Thomas, Clearfield, Utah and Mrs. Lester (Annie) Jones, Dillon, Mont; 25 grandchildren; nine great grandchildren; one brother and two sisters: Lewis L. Hamblin, Caldwell; Mrs. Oscar (Alice) Hart, Rexburg. Mrs. William (Rachel ) Thorpe, *rden.
