GARNER, ANITA IPSEN – May 28, 1944 – January 12, 2006

Anita Ipsen Garner, 61, passed away January 12, 2006 due to complications of diabetes.

She was born May 28, 1944 in Malad, Idaho to Parry and Velma Roderick Ipsen. She graduated from Links Business College in Boise, Idaho and worked as an administrator for the Utah State Legislative General Council for many years.

She married Robert Thomas Hunter, later divorced. She married Boy M. Garner December 15, 1965, later sealed in the Salt Lake Temple.

She loved square dancing, camping and traveling with her friends. She loved her family very much and enjoyed cooking Sunday dinner for them every Sunday for many years. She was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and served in various positions. She crocheted many leper bandages for the Church Humanitarian Center.

She is survived by her mother; husband, sons, Wayne (Terresa) Hunter of Sandy, Alan (Catrina) Hunter of West Valley, Jared (Erika) Hunter of Riverton, Shaun (Jennifer) Gamer of Salt Lake City; grandchildren, Cendra (Tirin) Byland, Cameron and Carson Hunter, Riley Garner; one great-grandson, Dakar Byland. Also surviving are her brothers and sisters, MaryLynn (Dick) Spahr, serving a mission in Nigeria, Janice (Mike) Hughes of Big Piney, Wyoming, Brenda (Brent) Coombs of Caldwell, Idaho, Kathryn (Glen) Collett of Sandy, Jeffrey (Melanie) Ipsen of Pingree, Idaho, Bruce Ipsen of Nampa, Idaho; and many nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her father; brother, Parry Keith; and granddaughter, Lydia Hunter.

Funeral services will be held Tuesday, January 17, 2006, 12 noon at Butler 4th Ward Chapel. Friends may call Monday from 6:30 – 8:00 p.m. at Larkin Sunset Gardens Mortuary and Tuesday, 11 a.m. – 12 noon prior to services at Butler 4th Ward Chapel.
