Formner Malad Woman Killed in Accident
Mrs. Alice Montauge, 45, of San Francisco and formerly of Malad, was killed instantly Thursday evening, August 7, 1951 when the station wagon in which she was riding with her husband, Ward Montauge, and her sister, Mrs. Hazel Drisko of San Francisco, overturned following a blow-out near Lovelock, Nevada.
Mrs. Drisko, who was seriously injured and in critical condition, is at the Washoe Medical Center at Reno, Nevada and Mr. Montague, who sustained less serious injuries is in the Lovelock, Nevada hospital.
The Montauges and Mrs. Drisko were enroute to Malad to attend the wedding of their niece, Miss Helen Daniels, when the accident occurred.
A sister of Mrs. R.V. Daniels, Mrs. Montague was born at Malad December 10, 1906, a daughter of Wm. E. and Emma Wass.
Mr. and Mrs. Daniels left the forepart of the week for Lovelock, Reno and San Francisco where funeral services and burial for Mrs. Montauge will be held.
