ALICE CHARLOTTE HARDING (died 29 July 1948)
FORMER MALAD WOMAN DIES AT WILLARD, UTAH
WILLARD, Box Elder County – Alice Charlotte Harding, 67, died at her home in Willard Thursday at two p.m. following a lingering illness.
She was born in Willard, May 6, 1881, a daughter of George and Mary Jones Harding. She spent her early life and was educated in Willard and was a graduate of the Brigham Young college in Logan.
She was a school teacher by occupation and taught at Bear River City, Box Elder County; Brigham City and Malad. She was an active worker in the L.D.S. church and served on the Box Elder stake Sunday school board.
While living in Malad, she served as president of the Malad stake Primary association, and was also a member of the stake Relief Society board.
She was a member of the Willard Relief society and choir, a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and was historian of the Willow Creek camp at the time of her death.
Surviving are five brothers and sister: George Harding, Logan; Mrs. M.L. Nichols, and Mrs. Clarence Horsley, Brigham City; Phebe Harding, Willard, and Mrs. W.O. Facer, Provo.
