Alberta J. Tovey

Alberta J. Tovey died at her home in Boise, Idaho, on Tuesday, March 13, 2007.

Alberta was born March 18, 1919 in Malad City, Idaho, to the late Rosella Harris Jones and Morgan T. Jones. She was reared and educated in Malad, graduating from Malad High School with the class of 1937. Alberta married the late Farrel J. Tovey on August 1, 1942.

Alberta enjoyed a long career and many friends in the jewelry business, retiring from Boise’s Hal Davis Jewelers.

Alberta is survived by her daughter and her husband, Frances and Roy Ellsworth, Boise, Idaho; her daughter, Stephanie Tovey and her husband, John Ratti, New Meadows, Idaho; her brother and his wife, Kleal H. and Leah Jones, and their family, Larry, Susan and Jane, Blackfoot, Idaho; nephews, Bill Jones, Hailey, Idaho, Rodney Jones, Ketchum, Idaho, and Robert Jones, Hot Springs Village, Arkansas. She was preceded in death by her sister, Delores J. Jones and her brother, Morgan H. Jones.

An informal gathering in Alberta’s honor was held on her birthday, Sunday, March 18, 2007, at the home of her daughter, Frances.
