POCATELLO, Ida. – Afton B. Buffaloe, 83, 755 Ebony, passed away Thursday, Oct. 14, 1999 at her home following an illness.

She was born Jan. 7, 1916 to Henry and Pearl Brown.

Afton married Harry LeRoy Buffaloe Nov. 10, 1939 in Malad. He died Nov. 5, 1981.

Afton was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She attended the 16th Ward. She taught Primary for several years, and was a Relief Society teacher. Afton enjoyed working in her rose garden.

Surviving Afton are a son, Darrell and Phyllis Buffaloe, Chubbuck; a daughter, Darla Jeanne Bell, Pocatello; 12 grandchildren and 16 great-grandchildren. Also surviving are two sisters, Ida Bennett, Preston, and Bertha Court, Bountiful, Utah; and two brothers, Leo Brown, Malad, and Bill Brown, Ogden, Utah. Afton was preceded in death by her husband and son, Vernon.

Funeral services will be conducted today, Saturday, 11 a.m.. At the LDS 16th Ward Chapel on Cedar and Poole, with a viewing one hour prior to the services. Arrangements are under the direction of Downard-Hansen Funeral Home, 241 N. Garfield Ave.
