Acie Chandler Waldron, 4 February 1930

Acie Chandler Waldron, age 66, passed away August 17, 1996 at his residence in Columbus, Ohio. Acie was born February 4, 1930 at Malad, ID to N.A. and Leah C. Waldron. He was educated at the Samaria and Malad schools, and attended Idaho State University, Brigham Young University and Ohio State University. He received a Masters and Doctorate Degree from Ohio State University.

Acie was a High Priest in the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. He served a two year mission in the Central States and has served as Bishop, member of the Stake Presidency and as a multi region welfare service agent. He served in the Army during the Korean conflict.

Acie married Catherine Venonne Moore on August 20, 1957 in the Salt Lake Temple.

At the time of his death he held the title of Professor of Entomology and Coordinator of North Central Region Pesticide Impact Assessment Program at Ohio State University. He was a member of numerous professional societies, was listed in “Who’s Who of Notable Americans”, and recipient of several meritorious awards.

He is survived by wife, Venonne; sons, Michael Acie (Sherrie), Centerville, Ohio; Joel M. (Mary Ann) Upper, Arlington, Ohio; daughters Debra (Cal) Noorda, Las Vegas, NV; Laurie (Brad) Phister, Bountiful, UT; Susan (David) Luce, Provo, UT; grandchildren, Jeremy, Melissa, Katie, Benjamin, Adam, Alice, Kathleen, Kevin, Keith and Natalie; brothers, James C. of Las Vegas, NV; Lamonte of Weston, ID; sisters, Phyllis Price, Samaria, ID; Mada Waters, So. Weber, UT; Leahmae Erickson, Pocatello, ID; Helen Green, Weston, ID; Gwen Evans, Pocatello, ID.

Funeral services were held August 23, 1996 in Columbus, Ohio. Interment was in the Columbus Union Cemetery.
