Earl Leigh & Norma Ruth Robinson, (1921, 1925)

Earl Leigh Robinson, age 72, and Norma Ruth Robinson, age 67, died May 27, 1993 as a result of an auto accident wile vacationing in Anchorage, Alaska.

Earl was born July 25, 1921 in Coaldale, Alberta, Canada, to Leigh Warden and Lavinia Hardman Robinson. He was a World War II Army veteran and helped engineer the Berma Road . He was an avid gardener and was retired from St. Regis Paper Co.

He married his wife February 21, 1942 in Ely, Nevada.

Norma Ruth was born June 22, 1925 in Malad, Idaho to Sanford Malmberg and Mary Ellen Thomas Peterson. She and her husband attended Cyprus High School. Members of the LDS Church. They had just celebrated their 50th Wedding Anniversary in 1992.

They are survived by their children, Earl Donald (See) and wife Jenn of Centerville; Sam Sanford Leigh and wife Leslie of West Valley City; Mary LuAnne and husband Bruce Roberts of Layton; and Dewey Gary and wife Kathy of North Salt Lake; 17 grandchildren; one great-grandchild.

In addition, Earl is survived by brothers, Bert, Clarence, Donald, Dean, and Allen; sisters, Marie Pearson and Elva Bowden.

Norma is also survived by sister, Lola Mae Bateman; brothers, Dewey and Don Peterson. She was preceded in death by her brother, Sanford Wayne Peterson. A granddaughter, Laura Dee Robinson also preceded them in death.

Funeral services will be Friday, June 4, 1993, at 12 noon, at the Magna Stake Center, 3084 South 8400 West. Viewing will be Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the Redwood Memorial Estates Mortuary, 6500 South Redwood Road, and one hour prior to services at the stake center

Interment Redwood Memorial Estate Cemetery.
