Edith Margaret Hill Archibald

Edith Margaret Hill Archibald, 76, 141 Ravine Drive, died Tuesday morning in Pocatello Regional Medical Center following a short illness.

She was born Oct. 20, 1910 in Elkhorn to Edward N. and Annie Evans Hill. She attended school at Elkhorn.

On June 1, 1929 she married Willard Archibald in Pocatello, where they made their home. Their marriage was solemnized in the Idaho Falls LDS Te mple on May 4, 1949. Mr. Archibald died March 9, 1986.

Mrs. Archibald was an active member of the LDS Church where she held many positions. She was a member of the Daughters of Utah Pioneers and past president of the Woodsmen Lodge. She enjoyed homemaking crafts.

Survivors include three daughters, Mrs. Keith E. (Thelma M.) Godfrey, Mrs. Roger (Wilda Ann) Armstrong and Mrs. George H. (Margaret) Millward, all of Pocatello; a son Ivan Archibald, Lander, Wyo.; a sister, Mrs. William H. (Katie) Clark, Sandy, Utah; 21 grandchildren; 47 great-grandchildren; and a great-great-grandchild. She was also preceded in death by her parents, a son, two grandsons, a granddaughter and a great-grandson.

Funeral services will be Saturday at 1 p.m. in the LDS 19th Ward chapel on Oakwood Drive. Bishop Fendon Jackson will officiate. The family will receive friends Friday from 6 until 8 p.m. at Manning Funeral Chapel. On Saturday friends may call at the 19th Ward chapel from noon until service time. Burial will be at St. John’s Cemetery in Malad.
