George Dennis Goodenough

McCammon- George Dennis Goodenough, 59, of McCammon, died early Sunday, November 10, 1996 at his farm, of injuries from a tractor accident.

He was born June 7, 1937 in Brigham, Utah, a son of George Karl and Lillian Williams Goodenough. He grew up and attended school in McCammon and later received a degree in drama from Idaho State University. He married Jacque Barnes September 30, 1987, in Twin Falls.

Dennis had been involved in education for the past 30 years and are the past seven years worked at the Sho-Ban school in Fort Hall, where he taught English, Speech and was the year book advisor. He enjoyed his farm, reading good literature, traveling and especially spending time with his grandchildren.

He is survived by his wife, Jacque, of McCammon; two sons: George Myron Goodenough of Pocatello, and George Dennis Goodenough Jr., of Elko, Nevada; four daughters: Mrs. Rustry (Sabrina) Collins of Hays, Kansas; Mrs. Jared (Sonya) Harris of Blackfoot; Mrs. John (Michelle) Ose of Mesa, Arizona; and Bonnie Goodenough of Orem, Utah; two step sons: Joey and Jon Labato, both of McCammon; five grandchildren; two brothers: Dr. Gerald and Julie Goodenough of Decatur, Georgia; Larry Goodenough of Provo, Utah; one sister, Mrs. Mike

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Funeral services were held Wednesday November 13 in the McCammon LDS Ward Chapel, Bishop Bert C. Marley, officiating.
