Howard Russell Petersen

Passed away with dignity never complained. What a trooper he was to the end.
GARLAND – Howard Russell Petersen, 71, loving husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather died quietly at home after a long courageous battle with cancer in Tremonton, March 14, 1998, surrounded by his family.
He was born August 21, 1926, in Bear River City, son of Albert J. and Laura Lavina Hitt Petersen. He married Helen Richardson (deceased), two children, Russell Petersen and Pamela Larsen, five grandchildren, four great-grandchildren; one step child, Diane Anderson, five step grandchildren; nine step-great-grandchildren.
He married Lola Jean Daniels (deceased), nine stepchildren, Roy, Annette, Tom. Judy, Joan. Owen, Galen, JaNene, Tami, 53 step grandchildren; 44 step great-grandchildren. He married Dell F. Petersen, January 18, 1985; three stepchildren, Ruth, Ed and Ginny, 12 step grandchildren.
He served in World War II as a bomber pilot. He was a POW for 1 + years in Germany. He worked for Peterson tractor. He retired from Gold¬en Spike Implement. He was a member of the Eagles Lodge and American Legion.
He enjoyed fishing, traveling and reading. He loved all the children and grandchildren and was loved by all who knew him.
Funeral services will be held Wed., Mar. 18th, 11 a.m., Rogers and Taylor Funeral Home, 111 North 100 East, Tremonton. Friends may call Tues. Mar. 17, 6-8 p.m. and Wed. Mar. 18, 9:45-10:45 at Funeral Home.
Interment Garland Cemetery.
