Anna Lee Packer Corbridge Tolman

Anna Lee Tolman Packer Corbridge Tolman Our sweet mom, grandma, and great grandma, Anna Lee Packer Corbridge Tolman, 84, passed away peacefully in her home in Bancroft, Idaho, on February 12, 2019. Anna Lee was born April 23, 1934, to Cornella Hill and Lee Parkinson Packer in Glendale, California. She lived with her widowed mother and younger brother, Edward Lee Packer, in Portland, Oregon, while growing up. When Anna Lee was 11, her mother married Maximo Novak, and later they had three children, Kay, Paul, and David, who were true blessings in Anna’s life. Anna Lee met her eternal companion, Dale Kelly Corbridge, at Utah State Agricultural College in Logan, Utah. They were married on November 7, 1952, in the Logan Temple. They raised their family in Soda Springs, Idaho, where Anna Lee was supportive of her husband in both ranching with Corbridge Brothers and his business, City and Ranch Realty. He supported her in raising their six children, four sons and two daughters. A tragic automobile accident caused his untimely death in 1971, leaving her to raise their children by herself with her great faith. Anna Lee was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She served most often in Primary and Young Women including Stake Young Women President and many years as a dance director. After Dale’s death, she earned a degree in Special Education and served four missions for her church: Washington D.C. Temple Mission (twice), Florida Ft. Lauderdale Mission, and California Arcadia Mission. She married Byron Eugene Ashbrook of La Canada, California, on September 30, 1994, whom she met on her last mission. They enjoyed living in her cabin on the Corbridge Ranch and serving in the Logan Temple. Gene passed away on February 23, 2014. Most recently she and her beloved husband, Leonard Norman Tolman, whom she married February 14, 2015, have continued to enjoy the temple, traveling weekly from their home in Bancroft, Idaho. Their four years together were a precious gift and were filled with joy and love. Anna Lee was a true nurturer. She nurtured plants, friendships, marriage, and especially children–her own as well as many other children of diverse needs and backgrounds. Mom loved everyone unconditionally. She enjoyed reading, gardening, swimming, and mostly being with those she loved. Anna Lee was preceded in death by her parents, Cornella Hill and Lee Parkinson Packer of Idaho Falls, her husband, Dale Kelly Corbridge of Soda Springs, Idaho, her brother Edward Lee Packer of Barstow, California, and a grandson, David Kelly Crowther of Malad, Idaho. She is survived by her husband, Leonard Norman Tolman of Bancroft, Idaho, her children, Doug (Sophia) Corbridge of Logan, Utah, Don (Barbie) Corbridge of Hyde Park, Utah, Anne (Bob) Crowther of Malad, Idaho, Alan (Jill) Corbridge of Richmond, Utah, Danny (Alene) Corbridge of North Logan, Utah, and Aleece (Dee) Barrett of Providence, Utah, 24 grandchildren, and 33 (and counting) great grandchildren. She is also survived by her siblings and their spouses, Edward-deceased (Vivian) Packer of Woods Cross, Utah, Kay (Jim) Healey of North Ogden, Utah, Paul (Gwen) Novak of West Jordan, Utah, and David Novak of Murray, Utah.
