Richard Thomas, 68, of Chandler, AZ passed away on January 4, 2016. Richard was born and raised in Idaho. He married his high school sweetheart in 1967. He and his wife relocated to Arizona in 1978 where they raised four children. Richard retired from IBM and continued to work in the IT industry. Richard spent more than three decades as an avid U of A Wildcat basketball fan and ticket holder. Richard is survived by his wife of 48 years, Patricia; his children, Tamra Ingersoll, Rebecca Holub and Daniel Thomas; his siblings, Linda and Alan Thomas, and seven grandchildren. Richard was preceded in death by his son, Jonathan Thomas and his parents Edna and Reed Thomas. A viewing will be held Thursday, January 7, 2016, from 5 to 7 p.m. at Bueler Mortuary in Chandler, AZ. There will be a 1-hour gathering at the Horsley’s Marsh Valley Funeral Home in Arimo, 570 N. Meadowview Dr., on Monday, January 11, 2016, from 1:00-2:00 p.m. Burial will follow in the Downey City Cemetery at 2:30 p.m.
