Verda Stowe Andrews

Verda Stowe Andrews, 95, passed away June 26, 2004 at her home in Malad, Idaho. Verda was born April 29, 1909 in Malad, Idaho to William Henry Stowe and Anna Louise Jensen Stowe.

Verda married James Richard (Dick) Andrews November 12, 1926 in Logan, Utah. The marriage was later solemnized in the Logan Temple December 29, 1952.

Dick and Verda farmed in the Daniels Valley for over 50 years. The Andrews Farm is still a source of much enjoyment for family and friends to enjoy reunions, family get-togethers and the pleasure of hunting and fishing together.

The old rock house Verda’s grandfather built in the 1900s still stands with memories of the hardships the early settlers went through to give us the beautiful Daniels Valley.

Verda is survived by two daughters, Lois Jean Holt (the late Neal Holt), Pocatello, Idaho, and Dixie Lee (Paul) Evans, Idaho Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren, 22 great-grandchildren and two great-great-great-grandchildren.

Verda was preceded in death by her husband, her parents, three sisters, two brothers, one grandson and one great-grandson.

Funeral services were held June 30, 2004 in the Horsley Funeral Home.
