Rhea Lusk Jenson

MALAD — Rhea Lusk Jenson, 82, of Malad City, passed away September 24, 2001, at Oneida County Hospital.
Rhea was born June 12, 1919, near New Canyon, above Malad, to Thomas J. and Marie Williams Lusk. She grew up with four sisters and one brother, schools at Malad.
On October 22, 1940, she married A. Vernon Jenson of Arbon Valley. They were later sealed in the Logan, Utah LDS Temple.
Rhea was a busy mother of three and kept two homes established, one in Malad and the other on the farm in Arbon Valley. Vernon and Rhea ran the family farm in Arbon until 1988, when Vernon retired.
Rhea enjoyed many hobbies: quilting, sewing and especially growing her own fruits, flowers and vegetables, which she often exhibited at the county fair. She had been active in the LDS Church, holding many positions in the Third Ward in Malad and the summer branch in Arbon. Rhea particularly loved her position as a Beehive teacher for 13 years, and kept in touch with her former students.
Most of all, she enjoyed her family and extended family of friends and neighbors. Her grandchildren and great-grandchildren were the light of her life. Rhea was a joy to be around, and she will be greatly missed.
She is survived by her three children, Thomas V. Jenson, Alice (Monte) Thomas, all of Malad, and Valaree J. (Kenneth) Estep of Arbon Valley; seven granddaughters and eight great-grandchildren, three girls and five boys; one brother, Thomas H. Lusk, Mt. Pleasant, Utah; and two sisters, Mary (Orrin) Husby, Hurricane, Utah, and Margaret Larsen, Clearfield, Utah. She was preceded in death by her husband, Vernon, her parents, and her sisters La Vena Christensen and Donna Vhe Buttars.
Funeral services will be conducted Thursday, September 27, 2001, at 1 p.m. in the Sixth Ward LDS Chapel, 400 N. 200 W, Malad City, Idaho. The family will receive friends this evening from 6 p.m. to 8 p.m. in the Horsley Funeral Home, 132 W. 300 N., Malad, and one hour prior to the service on Thursday. Concluding services will be at the Malad City Cemetery
