Funeral services for David Lloyd Evans Jr. Who died early Monday morning from injuries received in an automobile accident were held in the Malad Stake tabernacle this afternoon with Bishop O. LeGrande Horsley presiding.
As a mark of respect to the memory of Mr. Evans and the family the business houses of the town closed during the services.
The speakers at the services were Griff L. Jenkins, Dr. O. H. Mabey, Karl G. Maeser, Bishop C. LeGrande Horsley.
Musical numbers consisted of an organ prelude by Prof. S. M. Powell, vocal solos by Mrs. Margaret Edwards Hones and Keith Evans and selections by the St. John quartet.
The invocation was pronounced by Hyrum J. Hanson and James B. Jones offered the benediction.
Burial was in the Malad cemetery with Hyrum D. Davis dedicating the grave.
A scriptural reading and prayer service was conducted at the house prior to the funeral by the Rev. Charles Horejs.
The pallbearers wee Lyle G. Tapper, Charles L. Ratcliffe, Howard E. Berg, O. J. Condie, Glenn Jedd Jones of Boise and Charles Crowley of Idaho Falls.
