Darhl Robert Evans

Darhl Robert (Bob) Evans, 66, passed away of natural causes at his home in Danville, CA on December 29, 2003

Bob was born in Malad, ID on October 21, 1937 to Darhl and Dorothy Evans. He graduated from the University of Idaho with a 2nd Lieutenant commission in the US Army. He served a tour of duty at a Nike-Hercules missile battery at Dormstadt, Germany, which included duty during the Cuban Missile Crisis and a promotion to 1st Lieutenant.

After returning home from Germany, he spent the next 19 years working for Chicago Bridge and Iron and the next 11 years working for oil refineries in the San Francisco Bay area.

His passions in life were gardening, cooking and Bonzai. He was the past president of the Danville Bonzai Club.

He was a loving brother, uncle, great uncle, neighbor and friend. He will be greatly missed by all.

Bob was preceded in death by both his parents. He is survived by his sister, Dorothy (Verlin) Hess; brother, Paul R. (Darlene) Evans; sister, Margaret Ann Pyke; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Service was held January 6, 2004. Burial was at the Alamo, CA City Cemetery.
