Mr. Evans was born June 4, 1912 in Malad, a son of David Reese and Margaret Evans Evans. He married Dorothy Roberts, August 21, 1935 in Vale, Oregon; divorced, married Jean Olsen Balls, February 6, 1960.

He attended the University of Idaho, University of Utah and the University of Idaho Southern Branch.

Survivors include his widow, Brigham City; sons, Second Lt. Robert Evans, in Germany; Paul Richard, Salt Lake City; and Scott Joseph, Brigham City; daughters, Mrs. Dorothy Hess, Ogden; Margaret, Malad; stepchildren, Kathleen, Neal, Sherry and David Balls Evans, Brigham City; two grandchildren and a brother, David E. Evans, Malad.
