Miss Evans was born January 16, 1900, a daughter of Isaac and Annie Jones Evans. She never married.

She was a member of the Malad Presbyterian Church and taught school at Malad, Woodruff and Pocatello. The past six years, prior to her illness, she taught at Chula Vista, CA. Miss Evans was a graduate of Utah State University, Logan; a member of the Phi Beta Pi at Logan, and a member of the Supreme Chapter, PEO.

Surviving are one brother, James Evans, Malad; three sisters, Mrs. Gwenfread Jenson, Montpelier; Mrs. Edythe Peck, San Francisco; Mrs. Van Cott, Salt Lake City; two nephews and two nieces.
