Charlotte K. Evans

Charlotte K. Evans, 86, Malad, died April 13, 1980 in the Oneida County Hospital. She was born April 25, 1893 in Malad, a daughter of Daniel R. and Ann Elizabeth Colton Evans. She grew up and attended school in Malad and has been a lifetime resident. She was very talented in music and had taught piano lessons for over 50 years to students in the Malad Valley. She also had a talent for poetry and had written many poems for others.

She was an active member of the LDS Church while health permitted, and had served as a ward organist and Sunday School teacher. She also served on the Stake Primary and Sunday School boards.

She is survived by many nieces and nephews, most of them living in or near Malad.

Funeral services were held Wednesday, April 16 in the Malad LDS 1st Ward Chapel with Bishop Gordon Griffiths officiating. Burial was in the St. John Cemetery.

The family prayer was offered by Urcle Campbell; prelude, postlude, Myra Jean John; invocation, J. Dennis Williams; vocals, Connie Budge, Ren Dives; life sketch, Linda Cooper packer; speakers, LaVern Colton, Bishop Gordon Griffiths; benediction, Jon C. Ward. The grave was dedicated by Earl Cooper.
