Jannie RJ Wheat Hall of Lava Hot Springs, Idaho, passed away on September 18, 2026, at the age of 65. She was born on January 31, 1961, in Moab, Utah, to Carl Leroy Wheat and Melba Jean Gray Wheat. She had two previous marriages. She then found the love of her life, soulmate, and sweetheart, Max Wengreen Hall, who had suffered with MS and was given only three short years to live when they married. She was blessed to share 18 special years loving and caring for him on their farm.
Jannie grew up attending school between Orem and Springville, Utah. She was one heck of a hard-working woman throughout her life, working many jobs including waitressing, flagging, construction, and production. She also had a passion for creating and selling her crafts; she participated in many booths in Utah.
Max and Janie enjoyed sharing Max’s love for singing together and attended many events, one of which was the Lava Hot Springs town celebrations with his event-style karaoke equipment. Jannie was a member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. They had hoped one day to be sealed together in the temple, however Max’s intensive medical issues made that very difficult.
Jannie had a huge heart and loved to give gifts to everyone and help whoever she could whenever she could. She had a love for hunting, camping, and spending time in the mountains. She enjoyed her time with family and friends. Jannie had a very big personality and a heart of gold. She will be greatly missed by many loved ones, friends, and family.
She is survived by her two daughters, Candice Jane Archuleta, Janie, Joe, (JJ)Taylor; her sisters Donna Wheat, Carla Covington, and Shauna McKell; and her 11 beautiful, beloved grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, Max Hall; her son, Casey David Archuleta; her mother and father, Carl and Jean Wheat; three sisters, Vicki Cox, Deborah Madsen, and Wanda Wheat; and her precious cat, Seymour.
