Sarah Adelia “Dee” Daily

OGDEN – Sarah Adelia “Dee” Daily, 95, passed away Tuesday, January 22, 2008 in Ogden, surrounded by her family of causes incident to age. She was born August 10, 1912 in Malad, ID, a daughter of Henry Monroe and Jane Chineke Bennett Kilfoyle.

Dee married Charles Fred Dalton on June 2, 1931 in Ogden. They were later divorced. She married her one true love, Clarence E. Daily on June 26, 1942 in Ogden. They were later sealed for eternity in the Ogden LDS Temple. They enjoyed 53 years together before Clarence’s death on June 6, 1996.

She was an active member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, serving in various capacities in the Washington Terrace 1st and 4th Wards.

Dee enjoyed golfing and was a member of the White Barn Golf Assn. She also enjoyed bowling and was a member of a women’s bowling assn. She liked to camp and most of all, spend time with her family.

Surviving are two sons and two daughters, Robert C. (Linda) Daily, Washington Terrace; James C. (Joyce) Daily, South Ogden; Charlene K. Muir, Phoenix, AZ; Stella (Dearl) Batchelor, Wendell, ID; 19 grandchildren, 56 great-grandchildren and 30 great-great-grandchildren.

Also surviving are two sister, Marjorie Orm and Una Mae Peterson.

Preceding Dee in death were her husband, parents, four brothers, one sister and one daughter-in-law.

Funeral services will be held Saturday at 3 p.m. at Lindquist’s Ogden Mortuary.
