Daniel James Cordova

Early in the morning of September 9, 2012, James Cordova passed away peacefully in the arms of his dear wife, Tosha, after a 60 day battle with cancer. James’ genuine love and concern for others was an inspiration as he went about his daily life, and his journey now continues outside our physical world and forever in our hearts.

Daniel James Cordova, 41, was born February 13, 1971 in Salt Lake City, UT to Sue Walker Braegger and Daniel Jacob Cordova.

On November 11, 2000, James was sealed to Tosha Celestial Baker in the Manti, UT Temple. To them were born three children: Isabella Celestial Cordova, August 11, 2002; Isis Amira Cordova, April 26, 2004; and Konstantinos Knight Cordova, June 30, 2008.

James is survived by his wife and three children, his mother and stepfather, Lyle Braegger, his father, his brothers, Jason Keetch, Branden Braegger, Jake Cordova and Rob Cordova; his sisters, Marcy Osterlin, Sarah Showell and Krista Davenport; and his grandmother, Ruby Trujillo.

James graduated from Preston, ID High School in1989, then went on to receive his bachelor’s and master’s degrees from Utah State University. He used his education in varies vocational capacities and for the last five years found great success and satisfaction working with ViSalus Sciences. ViSalus afforded him the opportunity and time to indulge in his favorite pastime spending quality time with his family. He was also able to inspire thousands of friends all over the country. His positive attitude and genuine care for others will be remembered and missed. He was a shining light in the lives of many.

James was a faithful member of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints and lived as he believed. He was a loving husband and father and a true example of love and charity.

Funeral services were held September 14.
